Zac Efron has claimed a bad accident at home caused the massive change in his face and never had plastic surgery.
The 34-year-old actor claims he slipped into a pair of socks while running around his home, which caused him to bang his chin against a granite fountain.
The star explained that he passed out only to wake up with “his jawbone hanging off his face.”
Efron said when he was injured, the masseter muscles on the inside of his face and jaw “compensated” for his injury, causing him to increase in size – hence his notable transformation.
He says that explains why he looked so different back then. “The masseter just grew. They just got really, really big.”

Efron was the center of plastic surgery rumors last year, but the handsome actor claims to reveal everything in the October 2022 issue of Men’s Health magazine, where he appears on the cover.
He told the monthly that it was because he shattered his jaw and banged his chin on the granite, completely transforming his face.
The High School Musical star also claimed not to have known he was a huge topic of conversation on social media and had actually gone viral because of his different looking jaw until his mum called to ask if he could go under the knife had been.

In April 2021, Efron started trending on Twitter after being featured in an Earth Day video! The musical shows a more prominent angular chin and a more powerful jawline.
It led fans to speculate that the handsome star had sought cosmetic surgery.
Efron’s pal Kyle Sandilands said last week that the Baywatch star would never do such a thing, likening it to an oil painting by one of the old masters.

The Australian radio host, 50, who has known Zac for years, shut down speculation during the Kyle and Jackie O Show at the time.
“I would know if he had plastic surgery,” Kyle explained, before telling his co-host Jackie “O” Henderson that Zac “of course” didn’t have a job.
He then said it was pointless for the high school musical heartthrob to have surgery because he was already so handsome.

Kyle chimed in the debate a few days after leading cosmetic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn had offered his own hot version of Zac’s new look.
In a TikTok video uploaded at the time, Dr. Youn, Zac may have had dental surgery but not plastic surgery as some fans have speculated.

“I do not believe that. I actually believe he underwent dental surgery, not plastic surgery.
