This is the terrifying moment a woman escaped death by inches after dodging a collapsed roof.

They get inside unharmed as the wind whips around them, but a third woman goes to the door and has to duck as the roof collapses, nearly hitting them.

A huge amount of debris from the roof tumbles to the ground as she runs to the safety of the house.

Then the wind blows the pile of rubble off the roof and the camera shows that it blocks the entrance to the house.

Footage, captured with a doorbell camera and posted to TikTok, ends with a man surveying the damage.

Storm Eunice wreaked havoc across the country over the weekend, with winds of 122mph recorded on the Needles on the Isle of Wight on Friday.

Hundreds of buildings and homes were destroyed and many people were without power because of the storm.

A 400-year-old oak tree has uprooted and destroyed a family home in Essex.

Part of the roof and several windows of the house collapsed under the weight of the tree.

Unfortunately, debris and downed trees caused by Storm Eunice claimed at least three lives across the country.

Storm Eunice also caused major travel disruptions as many trains and flights were canceled and roads were hit by high winds and rain.

Now the country is in the grip of Storm Franklin, which has brought heavy rains, flood warnings and more travel chaos across the nation.
