Want to see more of Jennifer Walters and Matt Murdock? So does 'She-Hulk' director Kat Coiro.

She-Hulk: Lawyer brings us the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s biggest screen couple yet: Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), aka She-Hulk, and Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), aka Daredevil. The chemistry between these two all-powerful advocates is so off the charts in the show’s eighth installment, “Ribbit and Rip It,” that Jen specifically asks Marvel overlord KEVIN to add Daredevil back in for the finale. Who can blame her?

While Jen insists to her family that Matt will only be in Los Angeles for a week before heading back to New York, it’s all too easy to hope they’ll have more time together. That hope is shared by Kat Coiro, who has directed most of them She Hulk‘s episodes, including “Ribbit and Rip It”.

When asked about a potential She Hulk Season 2 In a video interview with Mashable, Coiro’s first instinct was to talk about Matt and Jen and a possible reunion outside She Hulk.

“I love the chemistry between Jennifer Walters and Matt Murdock,” said Coiro. “He has his own series in the pipeline so I think it would be amazing to see them in and out of there.”

Coiro also addressed the pressure to introduce Daredevil in his first official MCU appearance. (His original Netflix series exists in a somewhat gray canon zone.) According to her, his arrival in She Hulk provided a great opportunity for a tonal change.

“[‘Ribbit and Rip It’] is a really fun break from an episode because the rest of the series, while action-packed, is really about the normal life of a superhero behind the scenes,” Coiro said. “This episode takes us into that high-profile action MCU fare that we’re used to.”

A highly effective homage to the original daredevil comes in the episode’s climax as Matt struggles through a hallway full of villains – something he’s previously done in several favorite scenes from his Netflix show. Coiro and cameraman Florian Ballhaus watched it again daredevil Flure many, many times to prepare to turn this fight.

“We wanted to draw from that and give respect to everything that came before, but also incorporate it right into our show,” Coiro said. That She Hulk Turn in the floor fight? Jen smashes through the ceiling, taking out the remaining villains in one fell swoop.

Jen and Matt may have very different fighting styles as seen in gang fighting but boy do they work well together. (They’re just great together, you know?) Fingers crossed we get a Jen cameo Daredevil: Reborn…or more mate in a potential She Hulk Season 2.
