Carlos Alcaraz put on a stunning comeback to beat Jannik Sinner in five sets and set up a US Open semifinal with Frances Tiafoe.
The young Spaniard, 19, was close to defeat when Sinner recovered from a set and stayed on fourth match point.
That was before Alcaraz reversed the script in a remarkable turn against Arthur Ashe, rebounding and winning the fourth 7-5 and then winning the fifth 6-3 to set up a showdown with Tiafoe in the last four.
It was a memorable encounter between the two, battling for five hours in New York before Alcaraz emerged victorious just before 3am.
