Today, show host Allison Langdon made a surprise cameo on the latest episode of Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast.
During the episode, the Duchess of Sussex vented her frustration when she was told “a million times” that she was lucky Prince Harry “chosen” her to be his wife when they got engaged in 2017.
Markle, 41, illustrated her point with a clip of Langdon, 43, speaking about the couple’s wedding on an episode of 60 Minute Australia in 2018.
“The happy couple enchanted the world with their real fairy tale,” Langdon said on the show.

Langdon was visibly frustrated after hearing her cameo live for the first time on Wednesday’s Today Show.
‘[I’m blowing] Steam from my ears! What part of that was saying, ‘Harry [chose you] … oh my god,’ she scoffed.
Langdon’s co-host Karl Stefanovic was also furious, saying her latest podcast “makes his head explode”.

Markle accompanied her tirade with a clip of Langdon (pictured in 2019) gushing about the couple’s nuptials in a 2018 episode of 60 Minutes, saying, “The happy couple have enchanted the world with their real fairy tale.”
“No matter which side of the fence Ally is on in this story, she’ll be crushed by Meghan,” he said, rolling his eyes.
“Tell me, with everything I just said, I said she was lucky because of Prince [Harry]!’ Ally exclaimed, adding, “All I know is that I’ve had a lot of pals who’ve liked Meghan for a long time and none of them do anymore.”
Langdon has never been shy about criticizing the Sussexes.

Langdon’s co-host Karl Stefanovic (pictured) was also upset, saying her latest podcast “makes his head explode”.
Just last week, Langdon called Markle about her recent interview with The Cut magazine about comparing herself to Nelson Mandela.
The former ‘Suits’ actress claimed she was told by a ‘The Lion King’ cast member in 2019 that South Africans ‘dance in the street’ when she married Prince Harry – just as they did when ‘Mandela was freed from prison”..
‘That [comment]I feel unmusical,” Langdon noted on the Today Show.

“Even though it was said… to share that… Anyway, they’re living their ‘quiet life’ as they wished,” Langdon later added, rolling his eyes.
Speaking on her latest Archetypes podcast, which featured actress Mindy Kaling, Markle said, “When I started dating my husband, we got engaged. Everyone just said, ‘Oh my god, you’re so lucky, he chose you.’
“At a certain point, after you’ve heard it a million times, you’re like, ‘Well, I picked him, too.’ But luckily, I have a partner who countered that narrative for me, saying, “You got it all wrong. I’m the lucky one because you chose me’.

Nelson Mandela, accompanied by his wife Winnie, raises his hand in celebration as he leaves Victor Verster prison near Cape Town February 11, 1990 after spending 27 years in apartheid prisons

“It’s hard to imagine how that would fit together [the Royal Family]especially the Mandela references,” Stefanovic remarked, while Langdon added, “This one is unmusical in my opinion.”
“But it’s gendered and it’s archetyped and stereotyped that you’re so lucky, and it just feeds into that idea that you’re waiting for someone to tell you you’re good enough instead of knowing you are.” good alone are enough.’
In May 2018, crowds flocked to see the Queen’s grandson Harry and US actress Meghan on their wedding day, which included a glittering, star-studded ceremony in Windsor Castle’s 15th-century St George’s Chapel .
Markle wore an all-white wedding dress by Clare Waight Keller at Givenchy for the royal wedding.
She has also been married before. In 2011, she married film producer Trevor Engelson on a Jamaica beach in an elegant, strapless, floor-length white dress with rhinestone detail at the waist.
When Kate Middleton was dating Prince William in her early days, she reportedly said to a friend who noted she was lucky to be dating him, “He’s lucky to be dating me.”
