‘This is madness’: Chelsea fans RAGE at owner Todd Boehly for his ‘joke’ decision to scrap Thomas Tuchel after seven games and call him ‘more dangerous than Abramovich’… as they ask why the £250m German was supported this summer
Chelsea fans have been stunned by the shock news that the club has sacked manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues confirmed they had relieved the Germany coach of his duties on Wednesday morning following last night’s 1-0 defeat by Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
Tuchel is leaving the company after 20 months at the helm but only 100 days under Todd Boehly’s ownership. Chelsea are currently sixth in the Premier League table after the first six games of the season.

“Our fanbase is as fickle as it gets,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “People actually celebrate it. Thomas Tuchel won the Champions League, dealt with sanctions, his personal relationship with his wife collapsed while he focused on guiding us through the game as best he could. It’s mental.’
“This is honestly one of the most disturbing things I’ve read in a while,” added another.
“We’re a joke club,” said a third.
“Since I’m a big critic of Thomas Tuchel, I think that’s a hasty and tough decision,” wrote a comrade-in-arms.

Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has gained a reputation for having little patience with managers and it seems Boehly is taking a similar approach.
“Todd Boehly might be even more dangerous and ruthless than Roman Abramovich,” one fan wrote. “This guy is on a scary mission.”
“Same old Chelsea, new owners, no difference,” said another. ‘Disappointment.’
Chelsea spent more than any other club in the summer transfer window, spending more than £260m to sign Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Denis Zakaria.
“Why would you sack the manager after two games when the window was closed and support him throughout the transfer window?” a fan raged.

“This is insane,” wrote another. “Sheer madness that you spent over 300 million to sign players from his list just to get him fired.”
However, some fans backed Tuchel’s sacking after a disappointing start to the season. The Blues suffered surprise defeats to Leeds and Southampton in the Premier League before losing in Zagreb last night.
“The right decision but people called me plastic because I wanted him out,” wrote one supporter on Twitter.
Another said: “Champions League 2 was up there with the best nights of my life thanks Thomas Tuchel but I think the right decision #CFC. Boehly as ruthless as Roman it seems!!’
