Rylan Clark has sadly revealed that he has been trying to end his own life after his marriage fell apart last year.
The 33-year-old TV star has revealed in his new book that he felt he “couldn’t go on anymore” after his ex-husband Dan Neal left him when Rylan told him he had cheated on him.
Rylan revealed he had been unfaithful to his now-former partner “years ago,” but when he got clean in May 2011, Dan told him their relationship was over and moved out after six years together.

In his new book Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, he writes about his post-breakup mental breakdown: “For the first time in my 32 years, I felt like I couldn’t go on.
‘What’s the point?’ I thought. I had lost what I thought was everything, the only thing I ever wanted. A man I loved. A family of my own. And now it was gone.
“So I tried to end it. I won’t go into detail as I don’t think it’s fair to my mother, but thank god I was unsuccessful.

He added that he had told Dan that he had cheated on him: “I woke up one morning and decided to tell my now ex that I cheated on him years ago. He went. Told me it was over and that was it.’
It comes after Rylan revealed he was hospitalized twice after his “heart stopped” last year.
The star opened up about how the horrifying ordeal took place while she was splitting from husband Dan, 43.
At the launch of his new book, Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, he said, “Not only did I get mentally ill, I got physically ill.”

He previously claimed to have fallen on just nine stones, which led to him being taken to hospital for “safety reasons” after refusing to eat.
He told the audience at London’s Royal Festival Hall: “Twice last year I ended up in the back seat of an ambulance because my heart gave out”.
After being hospitalized, he was given an injection that helped him beat more regularly.
He explained, “I just remember the shot and all of a sudden this feeling from the middle of your body in both directions almost overwhelms you and you just stop and my heart stops.”
“There’s just seven faces and this bright light looking at me. And then I took a deep breath. And they said, “He’s in a normal rhythm.”
“I was like, ‘What the hell is going on?'”
He went on to say that family members are convinced he just has heartbreak, but he’s certain it’s more serious.

“I knew it wasn’t right. Turns out my heart needed a restart. I remember lying in resus and having all these pads with all these wires and not understanding what it was.
He continued, “It was only after that I said, ‘What were the pads for?’ And they said, “If you hadn’t caught your breath, we would have had to restart you electrically.”
“You don’t even think about it when you’re there. So not only did I get mentally ill, I got physically ill.
It came after Rylan revealed his body was “turned off” and that his mum Linda was convinced he was having a stroke amid his health struggles.
The presenter admitted he couldn’t even speak and had spoken “slurred” while taking time off from work.

Now, while appearing on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, the TV personality said: “My body completely shut down. i would not eat I went through a phase where I couldn’t even speak, which could be pretty handy for some people.
“My speech was only slurred. My mother thought I was having a stroke. My body just went. I finished 9th and I’m 1.80 meters tall.”
An avid Eurovision fan, he has been a semi-final commentator since 2018, but his notable absence during the 2021 competition has raised alarm among friends.
Rylan continued, “Two days before I was due to be in Eurovision, everyone knew something was wrong when I wasn’t in Eurovision.
“If I had done it, I might not have gone back so quickly. And when I say quick decline, it felt like minutes. I felt like I got the push and I was going to switch off.
The former Celebrity Big Brother roommate, who claims he hasn’t stopped working since his stint on The X Factor in 2012, admitted he “needed” a break.
He said: “It was difficult, but when I think about it, yes, I had to stop. Maybe it was a merger of 10 years. I haven’t stopped since the day I got on The X Factor.
“Nothing has stopped. I don’t regret quitting. I feel like maybe if I’m trying to move on I could have handled things better from a personal perspective. I don’t regret quitting.”
