Nicola Peltz recalls being blanked by Victoria Beckham during the design of her wedding dress

Nicola Peltz has opened up about the ongoing rumors of a feud with mother-in-law Victoria Beckham, revealing that she hadn’t heard from the fashion designer for days while she was designing her wedding dress.

The couple were reportedly embroiled in a family conflict after the 27-year-old heiress wore a Valentino couture wedding dress to tie the knot with Victoria’s eldest son Brooklyn, 23, in April – rather than a design from his mother.

But addressing the reports, the newlywed said she was “excited” to wear a dress by Victoria, 48, but hadn’t heard from the designer for days before being told she couldn’t make the dress.

Brooklyn was supportive of his wife of five months and called Nicola his “number one priority” amid the rumored family drama.

Fronting the new Grazia USA cover, Nicola tried to set the record straight when she explained: “Well I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress and I was really so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created .

“I thought it was so beautiful and such a beautiful story,” recalls the actress.

Nicola’s close friend, stylist Leslie Fremar, and mother Claudia also helped design the dress, with the star declaring that the dream team of designers would be “so much fun”.

But things seemed to take a hit when Nicola admits she hadn’t heard from Victoria for days during the design process.

Sharing: “We connected to start designing the dress and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mother and said her studio couldn’t make it.

“So I talked to my mom and Leslie and said, ‘Well, unfortunately that can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’ I’ve been a fan of Valentino and her couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel there [the atelier] to try on the dress. That really happened.”

Nicola, who has faced a spate of reports claiming she “never intended” to wear a Victoria dress, also admitted the rumors “hurt my feelings”.

“It hurts my feelings. I try not to let it, but it just isn’t the truth. It’s just a bit of a shame when you say, “Oh, people think that,” but it’s just not true.

And Brooklyn, supporting his wife, chimed in, explaining that they “talk things through” when rumors do the rounds, adding, “To be honest, my wife is obviously my first priority and I never want to see her upset.” .”

Nicola and Brooklyn said “yes, I do” earlier this year in a no-cost-savings ceremony held at the heiress’ lavish family home in Palm Beach.

Brooklyn is the eldest of Victoria and David’s brood, with the longtime couple also sharing 20-year-old Romeo, Cruz, 17, and Harper Seven, 11.

A source at the wedding told DailyMail.com: “Marc asked Nicola and Brooklyn to choose their favorite song to dedicate to them and this was their favourite.

“Nicola left the room because she and Brooklyn thought Marc would invite them to a special dance to a love song the couple had chosen,” the second source said.
