Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t want to be Nice’s next manager and has reportedly set his sights on a top job in England, Spain or Italy.
Earlier this week it was reported that the Ligue 1 club were considering sacking Favre after a disappointing start to the season that saw the side lose four of their first eight games and wanted to replace him with Pochettino.
Nice is believed to be considering a move for Pochettino but hasn’t spoken to him yet and the Argentine isn’t keen on taking on another Ligue 1 role, as reported by evening standard.

Lucien Favre is under pressure but Pochettino doesn’t want to replace him
The 50-year-old only left PSG in July despite guiding them to the French title last season and he would prefer to train in another country next, with the Premier League, LaLiga and Serie A all sorts options for him would be.
Pochettino excelled during his final spell in England, guiding Southampton into the top half before making Tottenham title contenders and guiding them to the 2019 Champions League final.
He failed to win silver at either club but left England with an improved reputation and Pochettino has previously spoken about wanting to return to Tottenham at some point in his career.
He also has coaching experience in Spain, having managed Espanyol for three years between 2009 and 2012.

Pochettino previously had a successful spell at Spurs and could return to the Premier League

He could also replace Massimiliano Allegri, who is under pressure at Juventus
However, he has never made it in Italy and that could be his next target.
It is understood that the job at Juventus could interest him as the pressure on Massimiliano Allegri is already mounting this season.
The old lady finished just fourth in Serie A last season and has won just two of her first seven games this time around.
They were also beaten in both of their Champions League group games, leaving their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages hanging in the balance.
Should Allegri be sacked, Pochettino would likely be the Italian’s potential successor.
