That She-Hulk: Lawyer The season finale really had it all: Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) getting justice, Bruce Banner’s (Mark Ruffalo) son, the return of Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and a ton of the fourth breach of the Wall. Tragically absent? Breakout character Madisynn (Patty Guggenheim), featured in Episode 4, “Is This Not Real Magic?”
Madisynn’s party girl persona and love of eating (and spoiling) TV shows made her instantly endearing to audiences. Add her iconic description of how her name is spelled – “two Ns, one Y, but it’s not where you are.” thiiiink” — and you instantly have an MCU favorite.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law review: Marvel’s legal comedy is the funnest series yet
Despite the character’s gory introduction, Madisynn only appeared in one episode of She Hulk. However, as director Kat Coiro revealed in a video interview with Mashable, she attempted to get Madisynn a brief cameo in the scene where Jen arrives at KEVIN’s – a robotic version of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige – lair. There she sees screens with scenes from various MCU films, including Thor: Ragnarok, Black Pantherand Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Turns out we could have seen Madisynn and Wong (aka Wongers) up there too.
“When we were editing the finale, I pushed for Madisynn and Wong to come to the screen in KEVIN’s sanctum,” Koiro said. “I thought, ‘Can we just give the audience a little taste of that?’ It didn’t make it in the end, but I think Madisynn and Wong should have their own film.”
While Madisynn only appears in one episode, Coiro is delighted with the reaction to the character and Guggenheim’s performance. The two have collaborated on several projects, including the series Florida girl.
“When I first saw her audition about seven years ago, I was like, ‘Who is this woman? She must be a star,’” Koiro said. Because of Guggenheim’s star levy She HulkCoiro added: “The world is now seeing what I have seen and I hope it bodes great things for her because she is just a joy in every way.”
