A Los Angeles Times columnist wrote on Wednesday that Melania Trump deserved to feel “hurt” by the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid and poked fun at the former first lady’s sex life.
“That’s just the price of being married to a stubborn former president who is unable to tell the difference between things that are his and things that aren’t his,” wrote Columnist Robin Abcarian.
The columnist sneered at how anonymous Melania friends told Radar Online that the former first lady bought new underwear after hers was ransacked, snorting at the quote: “This is her home… it’s her bedroom.” Not even her husband is allowed into her bedroom.”
“Well, where do they come from then… oh forget it,” wrote Abcarian.
Abcarian portrayed the former first lady as “not a particularly likable character,” noting the low poll ratings she received from a recent CNN poll — the lowest of any modern FLOTUS since polls began during Pat Nixon’s tenure.

A Los Angeles Times columnist trailed behind Melania Trump on Wednesday and said she deserved to feel “hurt” by the FBI crackdown because of who she is married to

LA Times columnist Robin Abcarian (pictured) poked fun at Melania Trump’s panty drama and sex life in a column published Wednesday
Even Hillary Clinton, who is now running for the Senate, left the White House with ratings 10 points higher.
That made her a target for the column, which was captioned: “Melania Trump hurt by FBI search? Americans feel hurt by her husband’s behavior.”
“While it’s disturbing when strangers search your closets and unmentions, the unprecedented search of Melania’s bedroom and closets was legal,” Abcarian argued.
The warrant, she stressed, covered “every room in Trump’s residence.”
“It turns out that you have to put up with the occasional search warrant in the service of the occasional suspected crime. And the occasional soiling of your panties by government hands, even while wearing gloves,’ Abcarian added.
Abcarian poked fun at the blind quotes given to Radar by Melania Trump’s friends.
A friend told the site: “Melania doesn’t like the idea of strangers going through her stuff. Who knows who touched her underwear during the raid? She’ll never feel comfortable wearing these again.”
Also, “Most people don’t realize that Melania is more germphobic than her husband. She hates people touching her and definitely doesn’t want to wear lingerie that FBI agents have in their hands all over the place.”
These friends told Radar that the former first lady had bought new underwear.
“But seriously, who but some overly passionate members of the Trump base is going to tie their knickers in a knot when agents touch the former first lady’s belongings?” Abcarian wrote.
“To borrow an expression made famous by Melania herself, I really don’t care, do I?” She added, citing the former first lady’s infamous jacket she wore on a trip to visit migrant children due to separated from their parents under a Trump-backed immigration order.
At the end of the column, which also details developments surrounding the appointment of a special master, Abcarian reiterated that Melania Trump caused it herself.
“Melania Trump may have felt dirty when the FBI ransacked her drawers. But the blame lies squarely with her husband,” she wrote.
Melania had told friends she felt “hurt” by the FBI search, while the ex-president expressed his disgust with Truth Social.
“I just learned that agents searched the first lady’s closets and ransacked her clothing and personal belongings,” Trump wrote.
The former president did not respond to the Truth Social column and a representative for Melania Trump did not respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
But on Wednesday afternoon, Fox News reported on the LA Times article as it drew negative attention from Trump fans on Twitter.
