Karl Stefanovic has been accused of “touching” a male waiter at a charity event he attended with his wife Jasmine in Brisbane.
Queensland Police said they were investigating a report of an alleged attack on a man in a Brisbane riverside suburb during an event on August 20.
“Queensland Police are investigating a report of a man’s alleged attack on a shop in Newstead during an event on Saturday August 20,” police said.

The media personality shared a heartfelt post with melanoma sufferer Gina (pictured side by side at the event).
“As the investigation is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further.
“It is understood that the matter was discussed privately between the parties with a view to finding a solution.”
The waiter filed a report after he was allegedly touched by Stefanovic, 48, at the Mercedes-Benz melanoma charity event in Newstead, the Courier Mail reported.
Stefanovic, who hosted the six-hour event, attended with his wife Jasmine Yarbrough.
The event, titled “The Six Hour Project,” was attended by approximately 350 guests and raised $290,000 for melanoma research.
Last month, Stefanovic and his wife shared photos of themselves in formal wear on Instagram as they mingled with guests at the fundraiser.

In one photo, the media personality posed next to melanoma sufferer and event organizer Gina Savage.
“Gina, courage, resilience and beauty,” he wrote in the caption.
“We just raised the roof for you, your struggles, your charity and everyone else fighting melanoma.”
Proceeds from the fundraiser – which aims to raise awareness, improve detection and find a cure for the cancer – have been donated to the Mater Foundation and the Melanoma Institute of Australia.
“Every six hours, an Australian dies from melanoma,” says the fundraiser’s website.
“The Six Hour Project is on a mission to change this devastating statistic.”
Ms Savage previously appeared in an interview on the Today Show with Stefanovic to tell the story of her diagnosis, before the couple reunited to hold the fundraiser.
The allegations come as Stefanovic was pictured at Sydney Airport on Wednesday after returning to Australia from England.
The TV presenter was sent to London on September 13 to cover the death of Queen Elizabeth II and her funeral.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.
