The thriller, directed by Tobias Lindholm, is an adaptation of the 2013 book of the same name.
It tells the true story of a criminal named Cullen – who has been proven to have killed 29 people but is suspected of having killed more than 400 – and how Chastain’s character, nurse Amy Loughren, helped stop him.

Eddie takes on the role of critical care nurse Charles Cullen, who is serving 17 consecutive life sentences in New Jersey State Penitentiary for murdering 29 patients in 16 years in nine hospitals.
Jessica recently called Eddie “the nicest person I’ve ever met,” despite playing such a terrible criminal.
“We went to nursing school — Eddie and I,” Chastain revealed on Tuesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
“I have that kind of American cowboy mentality where somebody shows me something and I’m like, ‘Yeah, let me try.’ So I just jumped in and tried to give a mannequin an IV. And Eddie says, “Oh wait a minute.”
“And he’s really nervous about it. What we realized after our nursing school in our film was that neither of us was going to be a good nurse. I may look like it, but no, I’m not the one you want an IV from.’
