In February, 33-year-old fugitive Terrence Murrell was given an additional four months to his three-year sentence for fleeing Britain to the paradise island of Bali.
Murrell went on the run in June 2018 — after pleading guilty to drug charges but before he was due to be convicted.
But instead of keeping a low profile in Indonesia, Murrell taunted the police with constant updates on social media.
Prosecutor Sarah Baddrawy told a crime proceeds hearing that Murrell had benefited £31,702.18 from his crimes – and North Wales Police already had those assets.
His Honor Timothy Petts ordered Murrell to repay the £31,702.18 within three months or face an additional 15 months in prison.
He said: “I am delighted that matters have been settled and I am issuing a recovery order on the proposed terms for the payment of £31,702.18.
“There follows, in the usual manner, a full investigation into what Mr. Murrell has obtained from his crimes and available assets.”
The judge added that police could come back to court to try to recover more money if they discover other assets in the future.

On the run, Murrell taunted the police by updating his Facebook and Instagram pages with grinning pictures in the sunshine.
He captioned a picture with friends: “The worst men in Bali.”
He also posed for photos in an infinity pool, worked out in a gym and used his laptop in a four-poster bed.
Many of the snaps were captioned, “The Boss’s Life.”
He was eventually arrested and extradited in Bali in 2019, but en route to the UK he fled to Cambodia, where he was arrested by local officials.
British police were given permission to travel to Cambodia to bring him back to the UK to begin his time behind bars.

He told police he bought the drugs for himself because he “wanted to do his best as a male model.”

He later admitted to supplying Class C drugs in North Wales via websites but did not appear for a hearing on the verdict at Caernarfon Crown Court.
