The man, known by the alias “Old Toad”, 39, was spotted on the first floor of his home.
He said he suffered from diarrhea and was unaware that medicines were being prepared for sale on his property.
The man pleaded ignorance, even though police taped him allegedly selling drugs.
Police say he prepared bags of cocaine on the ground floor and only fled upstairs when he heard them break in.
The police had obtained a search warrant for the premises.
The defendant initially denied owning the drugs, then admitted to only selling what was left of his personal use.
He then finally admitted he had been selling it for several months but claimed he was making little more than PEN 4.2 (£1) for each bag.
What exactly the man is accused of is not known.
