- A new poll shows the Democratic Party is the least popular compared to the GOP, Trump, DeSantis, Biden, Disney, the Supreme Court and Kamala Harris
- The party came in up 19 percent — 31 percent positive opinions from Americans and 50 percent from Democrats negative
- The vice-president came second to last with minus 17 percentage points
- Donald Trump came in with minus 14 percent favor
The Democratic Party and Vice President Kamala Harris are less popular and less respected than the Republican Party, former President Donald Trump and even Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
A new NBC News poll released Monday shows that when asked about their feelings toward organizations and individuals, the Democratic Party ranked the Democratic Party lowest of nine different questions.
The party came in up 19 percent — 31 percent positive opinions of Americans and 50 percent negative.
Down 11 percent net, the Republican Party overall outperformed the Democrats, Vice President, President Joe Biden and Trump as the GOP braces for a predicted 2022 midterm election bloodbath to regain control of Congress.
Positive net preference in the poll conducted May 5-10 was received by the United States Supreme Court with 1 percent net positive approval, Republican Gov. DeSantis with 2 percent net positive approval, and The Walt Disney Company with 3 percent net positive approval.
The Supreme Court’s position comes as a surprise after the recently leaked draft Opinion which predicted an impending overthrow of Roe v. Wade shows and has plunged the nation into a heated abortion versus abortion debate.

Former President Trump’s net (left) is positive at minus 14 points compared to Harris’s (right) net minus 17 percent popularity – and ranks just two points behind the Democratic Party
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy garnered a huge positive net preference of 53 percent among Americans polled as his country nears the end of its third month of facing an invasion from Russia.
Of respondents in Monday’s poll, 31 percent say they have a positive or somewhat positive opinion of Harris, while 48 percent say they do not view her positively. That means Americans see the vice president at minus 17 percent net—just two points behind the Democratic Party.
According to the 1,000 American adults polled, 37 percent of Americans rate President Biden positively and 51 percent negatively, resulting in a minus 14 percent net public viewership.
With 36 percent positive and 51 percent negative, Trump sits between the current president and vice president, a net 14 percent down — 5 points more than the Democratic Party and three points less than his successor.
When pollsters asked participants about the nine numbers in the poll, Biden was always asked about them first, followed by the rest of the randomly selected people and organizations.
Biden has hovered around 40 percent approval for the past few months as he struggles on multiple fronts with record-high inflation and gas prices, decades of high numbers of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border, and now a shortage of baby food.
Harris, who should be the government’s “Grenzzar,” has even lower approval ratings than the president.
The vice president visited the southern border in June 2021 after putting enormous pressure on her to do something about the growing crisis there. Just a month after her visit, the Biden administration recorded 213,593 encounters with migrants, a then-record-breaking number.
In March 2022, that record was broken after Customs and Border Protection hit 221,303 – and the numbers are expected to rise again when the April figures are released this week, the GOP estimates.
Now, a year after the US-Mexico border visit, Harris has not returned and has largely sidestepped the issue as her team rebranded her role to address the “root causes” of migration in the countries of Guatemala’s northern triangle, El tackle Salvador and Honduras.
