The Chelsea squad appear split over Thomas Tuchel’s departure with many players slimming down on social media to pay tribute – but not all blues stars have posted yet after he was sacked yesterday
Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Raheem Sterling were some of the first Blues stars to pay tribute after new owner Todd Boehly sacked the Germany coach after just seven games into the season and 100 days into his tenure since replacing Roman Abramovich .
Chelsea are sixth in the Premier League and have made a miserable start to the Champions League, with Tuchel disposed of hours after the humiliating 1-0 defeat by Dinamo Zagreb, his 100th game in charge.

Reece James also shared a tweet from him and Tuchel sharing a hug with the caption, “Thank you.”

Raheem Sterling also posted a message in honor of Tuchel, writing “thanks boss”.
It wasn’t just these three who paid tribute to the 2021 Champions League-winning head coach, goalkeeper duo Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy also wanted to thank him.
Mendy posted several pictures with the German on his Instagram story, one of which said: “Thank you for everything sir.”
Fellow goalkeeper Kepa also wrote in his story: “Thank you for all the moments together. All the best.’
Defenders Ben Chilwell, Trevor Chalobah, Cesar Azpilicueta and Kalidou Koulibaly also showed their respect for Tuchel.
Left-back Chilwell wrote: “Thank you for the great memory coach.
Youngster Chalobah, who joined Chelsea’s first-team under Tuchel, simply posted on his Instagram Story: “Thank you coach.

Captain Azpilicueta also echoed this by posting: “Thank you for everything sir. I wish you all the best.
Koulibaly, new signing from Napoli in the summer, said: “Thank you Maestro.”
Mason Mount, Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mateo Kovacic were the other team members who engaged on social media.
England international Mount has posted a picture with former boss Tuchel hugging him on the sidelines: “Thanks for everything gaffer.
Italy midfielder Jorginho opted for a hug and a picture of two shaking hands with the caption: “Thank you for everything.

Loftus-Cheek took a series of pictures to accompany his story with a saying: “Thank you for everything coach. I wish you all the best.’

However, there was plenty of evidence that Tuchel had many deteriorating relationships with players in his squad, perhaps that shows when 11 of the squad remain silent 24 hours after his departure.
Those players include disgraced stars Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher, who have struggled to gain regular minutes or find a way into the team so far this season.
A handful of summer signings from the club are also silent, which is probably not surprising given the lack of time they’ve played under the former Borussia Dortmund coach.

Veteran defender Thiago Silva didn’t post himself but his wife Isabelle Silva oddly posted on Twitter saying: “Thank you Thomas Tuchel for the partnership over the years. you are a giant Good luck in whatever you do…always.”
Goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, midfielder N’Golo Kante and newcomers Marc Cucurella, Denis Zakaria, Carney Chukwuemeka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have also not posted anything about the departure of Tuchel.
However, it’s worth noting that some of these stars don’t necessarily use social media very often, including Ziyech and Kante.

Tuchel leaves Chelsea after leading Chelsea to UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup glory.
Tuchel joined Stamford Bridge in 2021 to replace Frank Lampard and started by winning the Champions League in six months.
Last season, Chelsea reached the Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals only to lose to Liverpool on both occasions. They also finished third in the Premier League.
