Chelsea boss Graham Potter and Brentford manager Thomas Frank took the unusual step of interviewing each other before their teams drew 0-0 on Wednesday night.
The Blues have continued their unbeaten run since new boss Potter Thomas Tuchel took over, despite dropping two points at the Gtech Community Stadium – and arguably the most entertaining game of the moment before kick-off.
Potter and Frank appeared on Amazon Prime Sport’s pre-match show, joining host Simon Thomas and pundit Gianfranco Zola to preview their match.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank and Chelsea manager Graham Potter bizarrely interviewed each other before their sides drew 0-0 on Wednesday

The group laughed when Frank cheekily asked why Potter changed formations so often
Thomas began by saying: “It’s not too often that both managers join us before kick-off before a big game. But where we have you – Thomas, I don’t know if that’s fair or not, but could you ask this man [Potter] One question, what would that be?’
Frank laughed as he admitted he’d been embarrassed before praising his counterpart – and then cheekily asking why he always changed formations.
“First of all I would like to commend Graham. It’s a fantastic journey he’s had and I’m so happy that a coach who’s come a long way is getting a chance at a top six club and I think Graham’s qualities are badly underplayed Proved and I’m sure he’ll do great work at Chelsea.
If I may ask him a question, why do you change formations so often?”
The group all started laughing before Potter replied, ‘Good question!’
He then explained: “Well, changing the formation – we don’t see that as an end goal, it’s about how the team plays. The team must look consistent regardless of formation.

Chelsea and Brentford could only manage a 0-0 draw in their duel on Wednesday
“Then it’s about the staff, how you want to attack, defend – those are the things we take into account. Hopefully there are things that look the same even though the shape changes.
Potter was then asked if he wanted to ask his own question – with ex-Brighton boss Frank citing the biggest difference between the Championship and the Premier League.
The Bees boss responded that what struck him most was the pace of the game and that teams in the top flight were much more sober.
The tie at Brentford ended Potter’s winning streak since he took charge, but his side went undefeated under his leadership as they stayed in fourth place.
Actually, the hosts had the best chance of victory – Bryan Mbeumo missed a big chance with a close-range header that was saved by Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
