A British pensioner was paraded with a hood over his head after he was allegedly caught transporting drugs worth £16,000 in Goa.
The 76-year-old, whom police named Stephen Slotwiner, was arrested at his rented home in the village of Arambol.
During the raid, the police confiscated 512 grams of cannabis, 40 ecstasy tablets, 80 grams of MDMA and some LSD.
If convicted, Slotwiner faces up to six months in prison under India’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Officers searched his home after receiving a tip about drug possession.
The raid and drug seizure were confirmed by Police Inspector Dattaram Raut.
People found in possession of drugs in excess of a kilo face between 10 and 20 years in prison.
This latest police raid is part of a series of recent drug detections in the region, as Goa’s Prime Minister called for a crackdown on trafficking.
Others caught with drugs include a tourist from Bengaluru and the owner of a local restaurant.
Police said a case against Slotwiner was registered under the NDPS Act.
