“There is nothing better than making music with the children”: Andrea Bocelli records a Christmas album with his son Matteo, 24, and daughter Virginia, 10
His instantly recognizable voice is known around the world and now it seems talent runs in the family.
And renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli has announced he has recorded his first-ever album with son Matteo, 24, and ten-year-old daughter Virginia.
A Family Christmas, which will be released on October 21st, will feature a slew of holiday favourites, with the singer enthusing: “There’s nothing quite like making music with your kids”.

In beautiful snaps celebrating the release, Andrea, who is also the father of son Amos, 27, posed lovingly with his two youngest children.
Dressed all in white, they snuggled up for a festive shoot surrounded by a beautifully decorated tree, gifts and a roaring fireplace.
The family said, “We offer our small, intimate and heartfelt gift to anyone who wishes to enjoy the soundtrack of Christmas at the Bocelli House.”

About working with his children Andrea said: “I think there is nothing better than making music with your children; I consider it a privilege.”
While Matteo added, “Singing these songs together and feeling the holiday warmth with my family is very special.”
“That’s what Christmas is all about – creating memories together that will be remembered forever. It’s really exciting to think that people will have a copy of our album wrapped up under the tree.”

The album will contain existing favorites and new songs as well as solo tracks, duets and trio performances.
The first single to be released on September 8th is The Greatest Gift, which features all three family members and is a brand new song written and arranged for the album.
For young Virginia, this is her first appearance on an album, having shared the stage with her father in 2020.

While Matteo has already followed in his father’s footsteps and is enjoying the start of his own successful solo career, having signed to Capitol Records in 2019.
The album was produced by composer and multiple Grammy and Oscar nominee Stephan Moccio, who has worked with the likes of Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus and Celine Dion.
Songs included on the record include Away in a Manger, Feliz Navidad and The First Noël.

In April 2020 Andrea broke records with his emotionally charged Music for Hope performance from Milan’s historic Duomo.
