Amanda Holden makes a sly dig at Phillip Schofield over claims he jumped queue to see The Queen

She has previously clarified that she is not a fan of her former colleague.

And Amanda Holden has slyly attacked Phillip Schofield after it was claimed he and co-host Holly Willoughby queued up at Westminster Hall in London last week to film a segment for This Morning while the late Queen was in state lies.

The 51-year-old presenter made her feelings about the situation clear during her heartbreaking breakfast show The feud between her and Phillip continues.

Amanda’s co-host Ashley Roberts, 41, can be heard on the program: “So David Beckham landed a seven-figure deal with Qatar’s World Cup sponsor Doritos. I love Doritos. I would like a seven figure deal.

Amanda slyly replied, “Get in line. Well, I mean, he got in line. Good for him.’

Ashley then referenced the football legend’s recent visit to see the Queen’s visit, during which he waited in line alongside members of the public after declining a VIP invitation.

The Pussycat Doll said, “Well, yeah, he did it for about 14 hours”

It’s a petition to have the under-fire TV duo sacked from their lucrative This Morning presenter roles, drawing over 50,000 signatures.

Such was the backlash against the couple that TV insiders are voicing “serious concerns” about the presenters’ well-being after they appeared weepy and mute on This Morning this week.

Phillip and Holly were keen to apologize publicly “Queue gate”, but were talked out after legal advice, as revealed by MailOnline.

A statement was made by ITV on Saturday and later broadcast on This Morning on Tuesday, voiced by Holly, 41, but both stopped using the word ‘sorry’ – a move that has infuriated many viewers.

A source told MailOnline: “Every word of the statement was doused. In the end it backfires spectacularly.

“Initially, Holly and Phillip were willing to apologize if they upset anyone as they were both keen to put an end to the affair. But they were strongly discouraged from apologizing.”

Amanda first worked with Schofield after following in Holly’s footsteps when the This Morning star took a year off from the show to have her third baby in 2014.

However, there have long been reports of problems between the TV presenters, with Amanda reportedly lobbying ITV executives after Schofield allegedly pushed for Rochelle Humes to take the job.

A former TV executive told The Sun: “Phillip has been actively lobbying for Rochelle, 30, to get the job, although Amanda is more experienced – and was told privately she got the job.”

An ITV spokesman later insisted Rochelle’s casting was a decision made by the producers, telling MailOnline: “The presenter casts on This Morning change regularly and the final decisions about these casts are made by the producers and not the presenters.

“Phillip Schofield is a very popular broadcaster and part of the ITV family. A consummate professional, he is well regarded on ITV.

“Amanda is also highly regarded as a judge on one of our biggest shows.”
